We are a group of people living in South London who normally gather together for climbing at the Brixton Rec, Crystal Palace Sports Centre, The Castle, The Arch, etc. We organize trips most weekends to the sandstone crags around Tunbridge Wells, as well as to the Peak District, the limestone of Dorset, North Wales, Scotland, etc, etc. We also organize international expeditions, and have so far climbed in Sweden, Spain, France, Italy and Venezuela.
The group is integrated by a very large variety of people of different nationalities. We welcome novices and experts alike, as well as boulderers, sport and trad climbers, mountaineers and winter climbers. So whether you are a novice or an expert, and specially if you live somewhere around South London, Brixton Climbers' Club is the ideal place to meet like minded people with a passion for climbing. If you are interested in knowing more about the club, just e-mail us at the address below.
If you are interested in joining, the best place to start is through our Yahoo group. There is a mailing list there where meetings are announced, trips are organised, partners sought, etc, etc. Most of the action happens there. There is also a little used facebook group. Our e-mail address is firstname.lastname@example.org.
